3. It is a local allergic reaction

2. Give Us The Whole Sordid Story
What did you do to provoke the wasp?
Who won?
And most importantly, are you okay?

5. I am fine
I was standing in front of a train station, minding my own business. I just pressed my arm to my purse while holding it and suddenly I felt this pain. I didn't even notice that a wasp was there. But it sure hurt. I saw that I got stung and that was it for me. But the spot kept hurting the whole day (above my right elbow) and when I got to be last night it was swollen to a fist sized red spot, This morning it was hand sized and I decided to go to the doc (that are the situations I really like the German health system :) ) Doc sent me home to keep the spot cooled and the arm quiet.

Who won? I think I won the battle but the wasp won the fight.

7. Oh ick!
Sorry to hear about your reaction to the wasp sting. At least you get to stay home. I've been stung by wasps and bees multiple times. It's not fun.

Oh, a question? Hmmmm . . . you going to get some serious reading in today, seeing you must lounge around the apartment?

:hi:  :loveya:

8. Hey Simply
:hi:

Yeah, it brought me two days laziness ... LOL

I am afraid my reactions to wasp stings will get worse over the years. I used not to be allergic to them.
Doc told me it might start iching the next days. Please not, the pain is enough ....

Reading and watching TV :D

:loveya:  :hi:

9. You got attacked by a White Anglo-Saxon Protestant...?
I didn't think they were as bad over there as here. ;-)

(Also, I could just imagine the reaction on this side of the pond to requesting sick leave, let alone two days of it, for anything less serious than a major coronary. Ah, the joys of a more socially-enlightened society...)

10. ROFL
now the "attack" by a WASP might have brought me some joy

Honestly, I thought I get a cream to put on the area and go to work. I never expected to get sick leave and I didn't request it. Of course I didn't say no :)

11. Wasp stings are the worst
Now I have been stung by a Catholic or two, one Baptist and a yellowjacket but never a WASP.

I feel for you

13. Not sure
if Catholic or Baptist is worse ...

but a wasp is painful. Been stung by one or two some years ago but I didn't react that allergic to it back then

12. Ouchies
I once stepped on a yellow-jacket hive while picking blueberries. I was young, but I sure still remember it. They swarmed up me...

:scared:

I hope you aren't in too much pain.

14. It is bearable
because I take Ibuprofen. Been stung by wasps or yellowjackets more than once. Never ahd such an allergic reaction that I had to go to see a doc. I sure am glad it stung me in the arm and not on the ear or nose :scared:
