The worst part of September are all the damned
'Back to School' nights. This year, I'm down to only two because the high school does all four grades on one night.

In elementary school, when I was PTA President, I had to go to six, SIX!!! of the damned things.

They are a major pain in the butt and a colossal waste of time. IMHO. YMMV.

1. This is why I have cats
I don't have to go to a meeting just to hear that my baby is disrespectful and lazy.

3. Trouble is, you don't get to hear anything about your own child.
Just how the class is run, blah, blah, blah.

Send me a fucking email. I don't need to be in your presence for you to tell me your grading policy.

2. Its the same thing year after year.
Half an hour spiel from the PTA about the latest crap they are selling, then another half an hour introducing staff.

Then another 45 minutes in the class room.

My wife works in my daughters school, but she still drags me there every year, though she has told me everything that is going on! The only reason I go is to meet the teacher.

My husband has NEVER attended back to school night. I asked him if he wanted to go tonight and he said no. I figure he has to keep that record clean. :eyes:

It's good to be him.

6. Is she a freeper?
Only a freeper would hate the great American sport of football.

7. ..
The pirate speaks,"Donald Rumsfeld be givin' t' President his daily briefin'.

He concludes by sayin': "Ayeterday, three Brazilian soldiers were went t' Davy Jones' locker involuntarily.

" "OH NO!" t' President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display o' emotion, nervously watchin' as t' President sits, head in hands.

Finally, t' President looks up and asks, "How many be a brazillion?" "

:grr:

9. This is why I enjoy not having kids
They vacate the streets and I can actually enjoy taking my time outside raking up leaves, instead of waging an interminable struggle against some kid to do it, as he/she struggle with school issues.

Peace, baby. Peace!
