My doctor had to take leave because of his son. He's been gone two months now and nobody knows when or if he's coming back. So, I go to the doctor he told me I should visit. He's the clinical director and he informed me that his group is no longer doing any pain management. He wants me to go to the pain management clinic.

I DID go to the pain management clinic where they told me they don't write prescriptions, they only make recommendations to be followed up with your regular doctor. My doctor listened to them and put me on a regimen that's keeping me fairly stable.

Well, I had to make another appointment in pain management and, get this, I have to show them proof that the doctor won't follow my regimen. Twice in my life I almost died. I'm starting to think that twice, I should have.
