Must. Have. Cocktail. NOW!!1!!
So I got home from work about an hour ago, opened the door and Egypt, the recently adopted rat terrier (now I know why it is rat TERROR) dashed right by me and into the woods....I ran, and ran, and ran some more. I was belly crawling through the woods. It took 45 minutes, but I got her.

After removing 9 ticks from my legs and ankles, and lots of branches from my hair, I am now ready for my cocktail.

Anyone care to join me?

1. What a bummer!
Nine tics?? :scared: You deserve a drink after belly crawling through the woods!

I'm having fruit punch right now but I might join you later.

I have a cold, so maybe a shot or two will help it go away.

:toast:

2. I had a hard time catching my breath - my asthma did not
like running in the trees....

Darn little beast - it's a good thing she is cute.

Have a hot toddy for that cold.

13. I hope you're breathing better now and btw?
You didn't crawl through any poison ivy, did you?

Just a thought.

You might want to wash those clothes right away!

17. Already on it - all the clothes are in the wash....
I am still a little short of breath but Mr MB has taken over the domestic duties for the evening like dinner, laundry, etc., so I am just sitting here having some wine.

6. It was harrowing...and the thing was Little MB was watching
Survivorman last night and he kept talking about making sure he was watching where he stepped because he could snap an ankle with one misstep. I tripped over soooo many roots, plants, whatever. I kept the dog in my sights only be belly crawling in some spots. I am way too old to be chasing that little beast. I hope she doesn't do that to Little MB - she would never be able to catch her...

10. I know - I just needed to reinforce how incredibly sucky it was.

The ticks were horrible. I made Mr MB check me out (he did not mind ) once he got home to make sure I didn't miss any.

Once when I was in Belize, I pulled 38 off of me after a day doing survey in the bush :puke:

I'm having a grenache today...

11. Got me beat.
I came home to a crate full of poo. The dogs were being boarded for 4 days and their schedule was off. Thankfully our little one buried it in the blankets and found a clean spot to lie down.

14. I am seriously considering a crate, or at least
putting her in the upstairs bathroom after this....plus, she destroyed a pair of Little MB's flip flops today.

She was crate trained at the foster home, and today was her first day home alone - and free to roam, so I guess I can't be too hard on her.
