dentist tomorrow....very scared
last time the novicane didn't take....have one big cavity that may require a root canal, will find out tomorrow. However if my insurance doesn't cover the root canal I may need to have the tooth pulled, its in the back. Then I have three little ones to be filled to. Very scared and am asking for gas....don't care that it costs extra. Public Service Annoucement: DON'T WAIT 10 YEARS IN BETWEEN DENTIST APPOINTMENTS! ...even if you are agoraphobic.

wish me luck!

8. In a well armed society, dentists would make their clients' visits as pleasant as possible...
just so they wouldn't get shot.

10. Yup — been there
I put it off for too long because I couldn't stand the feeling of being trapped in the chair. I finally went when I heard about sedation dentistry and found one of its pioneers near me. He happened to be an old friend, which was a plus.

I understand you're locked into this appointment, but in future you might consider a sedation dentist: http://www.sedation--dentist.com/

14. You'll be fine...
Had to go to the dentist yesterday. Two fillings (previous charlatan dentist convinced me I had umpteen cavities back in the early 90's and they are now causing some issues). My biggest concern: please get your hand out of my mouth!

Try not to worry - and ask for the happy gas. My dentist yesterday said it was maybe an extra $100.

:hi:

16. Maybe you could drop a vallium before going
and the gas helps, gulp it in deep breaths. I've had every rotten snag in my mouth yanked out, poverty and dental health don't mix, it only hurts for a little while, good luck.
