Most annoying character in a movie, play, radio show or comic strip
I would have to say Myrth from Mork and Mindy (their son played by Jonathan Winters)

What was once a quaint 70's dumbass sitcom became intolerable.

6. As far as recent films go....
As much as I liked David Fincher's film "Zodiac", I was very put off by the superficial depiction of two of the main characters, the "alcoholic journalist" played by Robert Downey Junior in particular, and to a lesser extent the "Obsessed Reporter" who is the protagonist.

There was such potential in "Zodiac", and Fincher is one of the three or so best living directors, but there was a lack of imagination in this screenplay that led to a third act in which cliches ruled the day.

Not to say I don't have a very high regard for this film. Just, coming from Fincher, it should have been more discerning.

23. Jar Jar Binks is the worst character in the history of science fiction
Even if everything else in the prequel films was absolutely fantastic, the trilogy would still have sucked by virtue of his presence in them.

In fact, his presence is so bad that it actually cheapens the original trilogy.

Dreadful!

Either way, he talks like robots in a 50's movie, he's an emotional cheat, he's suuuuuuuuch a goddamned dork and he looks so ridiculously similar to her dad it's freaking CREEPY.

41. What's with the flashbacks that have taken over FBOFW
I heard something that the cartoonist is having some physical problems and needed to cut back on drawing the strip.

If that's the case just go to Sunday strips only or retire and go the "classic" (hah) Peanuts route w/out the sham act of a character recalling the old days.

90. It's like a hybrid strip -
She's stopping the aging of the characters and retelling the FBOFW storyline using old strips combined with new. The problem with that is, she seems to be retconning all of the most boring storylines from the old days.

FBOFW doesn't have that "timeless" quality that Peanuts has.

82. I've enjoyed the strip over the years. And remember, she had the a gay character in the early '90s.
It was really kinda neat watching the characters grow up from babies and move out on their own.

But lately, the strip has been more depressing than anything.

Why would you hook up with someone who's not only an emotional cheat (marrying someone when it's so obvious he was in love with someone else), but who literally asked Liz to be his girl after she almost got raped at a gas station?

What's his name? Very annoying and whiny.

This is one thing Babylon 5 got right: "No cute kids or robots. Ever."

Lwaxana? I don't know. I thought her episode with David Ogden Stiers was well done. The one where his race requires him to end his life at sixty.

I found Deanna much more annoying and she was most every episode.

Just a little George went a really long way in Seinfeld. As such, I find it interesting that a show that in effect has George as the primary character(if he were a Hollywood writer) has garnered enough audience to last as long as it has.

61. A summary of George's life
At a tenant board meeting to decide if George or a survivor of the Andrea Doria is more deserving of a coveted apartment....

(George is telling the board his astonishing life stories. Every board member seems to be deeply moved by them)

GEORGE: I was handcuffed to the bed.. In my underwear, (Sighs) where I remained.. (Scene cuts to another story) She was attractive.. She was, also, in fact, a Nazi.. (Cuts to another story) The water.. that I had been swiming in was.. very cold. And, when I dropped the towel, there was.. significant shrinkage.. (Scene cuts to, yet, another story) Her parents were looking at me.. So, there I was, with a marble rye hanging from the end of a fishing pole.. (Scene cuts to his closing statements) In closing, these stories have not been embellished, because - they need no embellishment. They are simply, horrifyingly, the story of my life as a short, stocky, slow witted bald man. (Gets up) Thank you. (Every member of the board shows some sign that George's story is most deserving of the apartment. Ricardi is crying. George turns to leave, then remembers one more thing..) Oh, also.. my fiance died from licking toxic envelopes that I picked out. (Sobs and loud crying erupts from the board members) Thanks again. (Leaves. Eldridge looks defeated.)

The characters on "Taxi" were likeable. Sympathetic. A sitcom convention.
The "Seinfeld" characters were not likeable...yet people watched it avidly. Now, that takes genius!

44. Ross and Rachel from Friends
Rachel - totally unprofessional at her job, whiny and self-involved

Ross - total obsessive / border-line stalker with inability to move on with life

Can someone explain to me why the viewers had such a hard-on for these two to get together given that they were totally incompatible on the occasions when they were together?

45. Good call!
My hubby wanted to know why I watched it if I hated the characters
so much. I told him I kept hoping for the episode when a truck
bomb was parked outside their building.

83. Ross solo wasn't too bad overall (monkey-ownership period not withstanding)
Rachel was always annoying.

47. The young Jennifer from "Family Ties"
During the first few years she was just an obnoxious, smart-alec little brat. I presume they included her because she was supposed to be cute but she annoyed the heck out of me

Thankfully she grew up relatively quickly through the years of the show. I actually liked her character toward the end when she was a teenager

86. You're not alone - I think that's why they killed them off
I think I read somewhere that they had a longer story arc, but feedback was really awful so they were killed quickly

57. Every single character in "Family Circus"
The most annoying cast of characters in a comic strip. Ever.

63. Have you seen "Rose is a Rose?"
There's only so much sappy, sickly sweetness that can be tolerated. ACK!

He reminds me of every dumb unattractive Irish guy my father tried to fix me up with. And every unsuccessful actor my S.O. hangs out with. Bad combination.

To this day I'm just not attracted to Irish guys (and I'm Irish). I'm not saying there aren't a lot of good looking Celts out there (Peirce Brosnan is #1 on my Escape Clause list) but the dorky ones are just so appallingly awful.

75. Lisa Simpson
I know that the writers use her as the social conscience of Springfield but she's so insufferable about her beliefs and judgemental towards others that she comes off as boorish vs. enlightened.
