2. The exploded baby in "Butterfly Effect."
When THAT happened, I stopped caring about all other characters and was just waiting for a timeline reset that would change that.

3. Celie's children in "The Color Purple"
Even though I'd read the book, and knew they were alive, I bust out crying at the reunion.

4. Lady Lyndon's first son
Edited on Tue Sep-25-07 07:05 PM by Mike03
In Stanley Kubrick's "Barry Lyndon." I thought he might die in the duel, or die of a heart attack from the fear of confronting his abusive, hedonistic, narcissistic step-father.

And I should add Lady Lyndon herself, since she tries to kill herself a number of times, yet is an incredibly sympathetic character.

7. We just rewatched that the other night....
I love that movie. I always cry.
I have a thing for Tom Hanks. I don't want to sleep with him or anything, pervs. I just want him to be my friend. I think he's probably the nicest guy on earth.

8. Tom Hanks in "Cast Away"
Even though that term had more than one meaning when he tried to go back to his life as it HAD been.
