Biggest job interview fuck up?
The one(s) that make you cringe to think about?

I was talking to a friend today and she told me how another friend of hers was almost all the way to being hired on as a firefighter. He was running late and had a borderline road rage hoohah with another motorist, so he honked and flipped the other driver the bird, and stepped on the gas, trying not to be late. He BARELY made it on time for the final interview, the Chief's interview, and it all went well. Totally copacetic.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

At the very end of the interview, the Chief informed him that HE (the Chief) was the guy in the other car who the applicant had flipped off.

OUCH!!!

I had an interview fuck up a couple weeks ago. It was such a good opportunity and I'm still kicking myself in the head over it.

Oh well, it's time to move on though and look for other jobs out there. It's so frustrating because the interviews don't come along all that often - and the chance I get, I end up blowing it.

2. Interviews suck for the most part

by nature, they are not fun. I hope you find what you are looking for. I think my stupidest answer to an interview question was (halfway through the interview), "To be honest, blah blah blah" and they came back with, "To be honest? We expect you to be honest on all of the questions, not just this one!" and they all chuckled.

LOL. It was just a turn of phrase for me, but it got milked. It turned out okay, but I was registering high on the cringe-o-matic after that one!

Good luck to you. :)

On edit: No, the guy did not get the firefighter position on that department.
