I have had shingles for a week

and I do not like the pain at all.

Thank god the medicine is beginning to work and the pain is beginning to subside.

I do not wish this on anyone outside the bush cabal...

I had it hit my inner ear and optic nerve. It felt like someone was slamming an ice pick into my skull.

Usually people get hit around the chest or trunk. I had it on the right side of my head.

I still have a "Harry Potter" scar between my eyebrows four years later!

I got it the day after someone else posted here about it, and I googled it for information for them.

It may have been you. The next day I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with shingles.

5. I had them back in May and still have the blemishes.

It took well over a month for all the symptoms to go away but I still have pink blemishes where the pox (for lack of a better word) marks where. Sending you good vibes for a speedy recovery.

Acyclovir for the virus removal and a really strong pain med that knocks me out.
