1. doh!
but now who's going to "co-own" the dance studio? and who's going to not pay rent, or do any housework, or care for her daughter?

Life isn't fair.

12. wonder if it was a suicide
if I remember the show right, she was pretty verbally abusive of the older daughter, and seemed to favor the younger one. That's if I remember it right...she said some pretty hideous things to her that kind of took me aback.

15. was the older one slightly overweight?
Edited on Wed Sep-26-07 10:18 PM by idgiehkt
I remember the younger one being very thin and involved in dance. And that the older one still lived at home even though she was in her early twenties. And I remember the Mom saying some hateful things to her. I'm sure about that, it just might be a different mother. I remember so well because that is the way I was talked to when I was a kid, way, way too much invective.

edit: lol, what am I saying, the lady is a psycho.

that older kid seemed like she was a substitute mommy and her mom was pretty abusive to her right on camera (verbally), it just about curled my hair. A clear case of projection, I remember feeling really, really bad for the older daughter.

Terrible thing to have a child die, though, and I'm sorry she and the rest of the family have to go through it.

The daughter is not responsible for how her mom lives or believes no matter how crazy it is.

I would never wish on any enemy of mine the pain of losing a loved one.

So wonderfully progressive!

That's right, people - be careful about your feelings because the PC watchdogs of the left and the right are out there, making sure you don't harbor any bad feelings.

Edited on Thu Sep-27-07 09:04 AM by Rabrrrrrr
of feeling sad for the whole family for the death of a child, and that makes me an asshole?

Wow.

Such definitions we use nowadays.

As I've said before, feelings are morally and ethically neutral - they just are. One cannot judge feelings. One can only judge how we act on those feelings. My act - my ultimate act - was to come down on the side of sadness.

My only sin was that I am not ashamed to admit to unsavory feelings, and that's not a sin at all. It's a sign of maturity; a sign of an ability to look within and self-critique, and to be honest.

Look at my actual last sentence in my first post, and you will see my conclusion. Do not judge me because of the path I might have taken.

Oh, well. If you wish to condemn people for their feelings and not their actions, go ahead. It's utterly wrong, but it's certainly your right.

Look, I had a fiesta when Reagan died. Know why? He funded fascists in Central America and declared open season on the poor at home. I'm glad he died and I hope he's rotting in Hell. The fucker deserves it.

This God Warrior is a nobody--who's just experienced the worst this life has to offer. It's not just. It's not karma. It's just tragic and senseless. So why the guffaws?

62. No. I have cause to be disgusted with religious nut cases...
...who give credit for every good thing to Sky Daddy but either absolve him of responsibility for bad things or twist it into something positive. If the daughter had survived, "Godwarrior" (forgot her real name) would have given credit to Jehovah, overlooking the fact that the same loving god permits so many to die or be crippled from similar accidents. There for the grace of God goes someone else. Instead she probably and slavishly accepts it as god's will and readily accepts the justice of the complete lack of value her god places in her and her daughter. The questions posed by Epicurus remain unanswered and unanswerable, that being if God is omnipotent and omniscient then why is there evil? If he is not, why call him "god"?

I cannot help think on it without being pissed off.
