1. Audio Al is 73, and he doesn't look a day over... 73.
He even still has most of the tooth he thought he would lose today.

#2, buccal root was split. Dentist drilled off the gold crown, cleaned out the split root, leaving him with two other roots firmly planted. Dentist said there is still enough structure to crown the tooth again.

That guy is so lucky, it's unbelievable. He still has (at least part) of all of the teeth in his mouth. Including all his wisdom teeth, which is why he's so smart. One molar never erupted. The one next to it moved BY ITSELF into the space that was left. Upright, not tilted.

I think he's seeing the Tooth Fairy on the side...

Here is the forum we'd be interested in:

It's the OLD FOGIES forum, believe it or not:

We graduated from North Miami High School, in 1956.

Here's downtown Miami in 1957 --

http://www.pbase.com/donboyd/image/78860034

Had our 50th Reunion in 2006 -- in Orlando, Florida.
It was great fun!

We'll be in Miami, Ft. Myers, and Orlando in December, visiting family and friends.

My first home at age 3 was south Miami Beach, where the Art Deco area is now. We lived in a one-room walkup apartment during the early 1940s, on Washington Avenue. It was pretty run-down then, but I don't remember too much about it.

I went to grade school at Wm. Jennings Bryan, N.E. 125th Street, North Miami, FL. Then, spent 28 years in total in Florida, before finally escaping the heat when I moved to New York and later, to Boston and Portland, OR.

Thanks for your comments!

14. Frustratedlady, pleased to meet you! Maybe we've spoken before, but
my memory isn't that great for screen names and anonymous folks.

Nice to hear from you! What's got you frustrated -- for more than a thousand posts?

Peace, Love and Happiness,

29. What's got me frustrated for more than 1000 posts? That dork in MY Oval Office..
that's what/who. I tried to tell my friends not to vote for him, but NO, they thought he was going to be great! Now, they won't admit they voted for him either time. Vewwwwy quiet, they are!

I'm frustrated at the war, the violence in our country and the world, the sex crimes against our children. I'm frustrated our jobs are going overseas and no one cares. I'm frustrated at the high prices on food, gas, heating, health care... I'm frustrated that my daughter and granddaughters have to teach under this stupid No Child Left Behind law, and that so many kids are being left behind as a result. I'm frustrated at the corruption in Washington, the coverups, the lying, the fraud and the in-your-face crimes of this administration and their cohorts. I'm frustrated that we have so much proof against them, but nothing ever happens...I'm frustrated at the "table" they've put impeachment on. I'm frustrated that so many still believe in The Kid. I'm frustrated that FISA is probably reading this list of my frustrations (Hi, Agent Mike!), and I'm frustrated that so many years have passed since anything of substance has been done FOR this country, and at the horrible mess The Kid will have left the world in, if and when he ever gets out of MY White House and MY Oval Office.

Aren't you glad you asked?

Now, back to my corner where I will insert thumb in mouth for comfort time, only because I can't find my baa-baa!

34. That is hard to believe. There may be hope, yet!
Little by little they are coming forth with books, comments or LTEs. It's hard to keep from saying, "I told you so," but hey! Salt and wounds and all that good stuff.

I just turn and walk away with a grin on my face. Finally!

17. Audio_Al (husband) is reading a longevity book. He said he plans to get past 100.
Honestly, I think he will, too.

He is a complicated but very effervescent human being.

I'm just lucky he came my way.

18. I think we need to set up a Geezerette Club for us women!
I have a few images from www.leanintree.com but they are so old they have no image left to scan.

They are from birthday cards dated 1985.

I'll have to contact the artist who is in the Hill Country of Texas!

True story.

Went to the dentist today. The receptionist looked very sad. She said that a 35 year old man -- a member of her church group -- with a young wife and two children, had climbed a tree. He appeared to have a seizure, fell from the tree, and died. They buried him this weekend.

You never know when your time is up.

One of my humorist guests (Maybe it was Art Buchwald) said it like this,

"Live every day as if it were your last, and someday, you'll be right."

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

One of the male talkmasters at WBZ-AM in Boston, where I lived and worked for 30 years, was David Brudnoy. He was on a cocktail of AIDS drugs and he became so ill that they moved the studio equipment into his home. He passed away in his 60s in 2004. I never met him, but I admire his courage in stepping forward years ago and discussing his plight.

Please explain. Something is missing here... they died from shoveling snow? Couldn't get their groceries because of bad weather?

OK. Thanks a bunch.
