an X AND a Y chromosome?
What? X's aren't good enough for you? You're afraid to commit? Can't have the same chromosome twice?
Sheesh.
:eyes:
I know. I'm dorking out. Embrace it.

1. In mammals, males are the ones with the different chromosomes. |
|
In birds, it's the females that are different.
Trip out. :wow:

2. Wow. That's even trippier than the fact that birds can't smell things. |
|
Birds are like aliens. Aliens who sing well.

7. If it makes you feel any better |

since men have only one X chromosome (and the Y is smaller and different) men are much more succeptable to recessive traits which women's 2nd X usually compensates for (sex linked disorders they are called). That's why color blindness is almost always a male issue because the the gene is an x chromosome trait..... Now thats a dorky response!;-)
