There was this total asshole tv show host called Morton Downey Jr, (not Robert) and he had a LOCK on the Jerry Springer market before Jerry Springer was even known.

He eventually lost that fame, and at some point, to gain publicity, he pretended to get accosted in a public bathroom by skinheads. While they attacked him, they wrote "SKINS" on his forehead. The only problem was, they wrote SKINS on his own forehead backwards because he'd wrote it himself while looking in the mirror. So it came out as SNIKS but with the entire thing reversed. The entire 'attack' was false.

I've got several planned. An egyptian wadjet eye on each shoulder, and possibly a scarab beetle with wings and sun disc on my chest, although I'm still debating that one. I've always been big into ancient egypt.

Also, I'm an amateur video game designer, so I want something from a good but not too common videogame... and I found the perfect one in the 'Rood Inverse' design from http://www.stickmanltd.com/personalstuff/rood.html">Vagrant Story. It'll be big, probably cover about 3/4 of my back. That'll be the expensive one.


And just because, I want the face tattoo from Hedwig and the Angry Inch.


Not sure if I want the whole face or half face one. My philosphy for something like this is to pick a tattoo, then wait a couple years and see if I still want it. The only ones I've wanted for at least 5 years are the wadjet eye and rood inverse from Vagrant Story I mentioned, so those ones are a definate go.

I'm not just getting it because it looks cool and I love the game, though. I don't really want to get into it, 'cause it comes across as kind of batshit, but I work with the Dark (rather, She works with me). It's very much for spiritual reasons.

I'm saving up and will post pics when I finally get it done. Money's less of a concern than pain, but it's something I need to do for my spiritual path The only concern I have is with it showing against my skin tone (I'm black, think Jada Pinkett-Smith's complexion).

I like the Egyptian one you're mulling over, too. I think you should do both. :)

I wanna have it reach from the nape of my neck down to the middle of the inward curve at the bottom, whatever that's called. Which, incidentally, is about where my hair reaches right now... :) Just a few inches above the beltline.

I'm definately getting the wadjet eyes on my shoulders, I've wanted those for six or seven years now. :) I'll probably have each one tinted orange/yellow and blue/purple respectively, since one direction of wadjet eye represents the sun and the other the moon. (Forgot which is which right now, just woke up an hour ago. Mind not all here.) The only reason I'm hesitant to get the chest tattoo is because right around the age of 23-24, I finally started getting more than just peach fuzz on my chest. :P So it might look funny with the hair growing there. I do want the egyptian wings on me somewhere, just because I like them and what they represent. (protection, not flight. I was always the one keeping the bullies at bay around my geek friends in school, and I've always been protective of family and friends, that's just part of my nature.) That, and everybody has wings... but they're usually either feathery or leathery, not egyptian.

I did Vagrant Story cosplay once a few years ago and got to paint the Blood Sin on my then-boyfriend, who was going as Sydney (I went as Mullenkamp, and our friend went as Ashley). It was a pain in the ass, but it looked cool. I was contemplating getting mine in UV but I don't know of a shop in town that does it yet.

Egyptian wings aren't common enough to be cheesy/played out yet, I don't think. I used to work with a guy who had them on his upper back, and down his arms. They did a gorgeous job of it.

Maybe if I'm successful enough that I can risk having visible tattoos without it getting in the way of me getting a job I'll get the egyptian wings down my arm, just not on my back.

Unfortunately I'm much too big to cosplay as Sydney, and my hair's too long and dark. I've always been 'big boned', I.E. broad across the chest and shoulders, and I've been working in a warehouse lately so my shoulders, arms and legs have gotten even bigger. (not to mention the other parts around the middle that got a little bigger during the 2 years I worked at a pizza place... *innocent whistle*) Maybe back in high school I could have pulled off the scrawny girly look, not so much anymore. :P No way I could fit into the gauntlets or leather pants.

Although I do dig the half-skirt behind pants thing. It's like a cape and a kilt at the same time, but doesn't get in the way the way a cape does.

Of course, I have to ask... did your friend who went as Ashley do the assless chaps look? :P Not many can pull THAT one off.

The really ironic thing... even though I'm planning on getting a huge tattoo from a game that I consider to be one of the greatest of all time... I don't have a finished save of that game. The only time I finished it was when I was playing it on someone else's playstation. :) So I still haven't gone back and unlocked all those doors you can only unlock in the second playthrough.
