i love that show and i thought the season premier was hilarious and a bit unexpected, i'm glad they kept Earl in prison for at least the opener. Also Jamie Pressly as "Joy" is probably my favorite character on that show, she is so funny.

1. I thought it was good, but I wonder where they're taking the show.
I hope they don't spend too much time with Earl in prison. 2-3 more episodes, max, should suffice. It would really change the whole nature of the show if they continue along this path.

3. i thought he'd be out for sure halfway through the episode.
i doubt they'll leave him in there for very long but it was a good twist. Poor Randy and Joy with that giant elastic band?

5. Oh, yeah, the elastic band was hilarious!
I'm starting to think Joy could help me break some of my bad habits.

8. About the only place they can take this prison thing
is to get Burt Reynolds to do a guest shot. "Are you ready for some football?"

2. I love it, but I didn't watch it.
I'm nearly always late watching the shows I want to see...

Joy's my favorite character. :) I'm a bit confused about what to think when I say "dummy" on the phone to someone and they tell me I sound like her, though... are they saying I sound stupid?

9. They used Scooter Libby's federal prisoner number
for Earl's prisoner number.
