Any other females without pierced ears?
I swear that 'round these parts, if you're over the age of ten and with ovaries, your ears are pierced. What's the deal with that? My ears are unpierced, and while I'm not against piercing them or anything, I've just never bothered to have it done.

1. Right here
:hi: I'm 21 and have never gotten my ears pierced, either, although just about all of my girlfriends have or have had pierced ears at some point in their lives. I think earrings are cool and pretty (most of the time), but I'd be too lazy to keep up with them, I think. So, yeah, you're not alone.

2. I do but I rarely wear earrings
As for my daughter, I decided long ago that piercing her ears had to be her decision and she had to be old enough to take proper care of cleaning them so they wouldn't get infected. She wasn't interested until a week before school started this year.

4. Why do you hate America?
let me guess you only have one tattoo.

Get with the program. How are you supposed to express your individuality if you don't get piercings and tattoo's like everyone else.

Damn freeper hippies.

(for the sake of those who are impaired :sarcasm: )

13. The MSM expects you to pierce your kittens. Don't give in! Live natural
Also, don't pierce your pit bull.

5. my ears were piereced when I was a very young child
with gold post. So I tried using surgical steel etc and I can't. My ears will get infected so I had to let the piercings close. About 20 years ago when I was a teenybopper. So technically my ears are not pierced. I have no tattoos either.

7. I'm in my 50's and ear piercing wasn't all that common
Edited on Fri Sep-28-07 03:59 PM by LibDemAlways
when I was a kid or even a teen. Never had it done. My daughter is 14 and she's the only one of her group of friends who doesn't have pierced ears.

A couple of years ago my daughter and I were in one of those teen jewelry stores at the mall where people get their ears pierced. A girl maybe 12 was sitting in the hot seat and kept telling her mom she wasn't sure she wanted to go through with it. Mom's response was, "It's nothing. What are you, a big baby?" I think she more or less bullied the kid into it. Anyhow, the salesgirl did the deed. Mom walked over to the cash register to pay, and the poor kid fainted and fell to the floor right in front of me and my daughter. That was it for my daughter. She's convinced she'd keel right over. Also terrified of needles, so two reasons (in her mind) not to do it.

So, to answer your question, no, not every female has pierced ears nor wants pierced ears.

8. Waiting until 10???
Heck, around here I've seen week-old infants with pierced ears.

As a guy, I pierced one of my ears back in the day (mid 80's). The next morning, I decided that it looked stupid so out it came.

9. Used to be pierced
Got them pierced in high school. But back around my mid 20s I kinda forgot about them for a few months and they grew back.

I haven't been bothered all this time to repierce them.

10. I had them pierced as a child
they got infected and had to be surgically removed. Suffice to say never wanted another needle anywhere NEAR my ears after that...

12. Mine are pierced, but I don't wear earrings... haven't for over a decade.
It seemed like a good idea when I was a teen.

Forget 10 years old... here it's even worse... seeing baby girls with peirced ears freaks me out.

16. I'm glad there are plenty of people out there who think it's as pointless as I do. :)
I'm not sure if I dislike earrings so much because I grew up in the 80s, when they were all horrificly ugly dangling sparkly things, or if it's because my brother stepped on a beehive by accident when I was a kid, and he could run faster than I could at the time. Got 13 bee stings, one of them in one side and out the other of my earlobe.

Oddly enough though, I love honey. Just don't like bees.

Also oddly enough, I have nothing against piercings in general. I just think earrings are useless and silly.

18. I tried it in my 20s, and they didn't like it, so...
I let them close back up.

Therefore, I'm without pierced ears.
