Music thread for OMC, Stacey, and all the rest ill or downtrodden this evening.
Share your favorite songs of pain, sorrow, grief, etc., and the relief, peace, and/or healing from these things. Even if they're not specifically about grief or anything of the sort, if they've catharsis, hit us up.

I just grabbed the first couple of songs I could think of.

Miles Davis
"Blue in Green"
"Flamenco Sketches"

Bill Evans
"Waltz for Debby"
"Nardis"
"Spartacus Love Theme"

Fleetwood Mac
"Sara"

Etc.

2. One of my favorites: Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens

...Nan Hoffman's "Linda's Song (Rise Like a Star)." I haven't been able to find a video of it online, but here's a sample at Nan Hoffman's website.

I also love "Your Daughters and Your Sons" (See sample just below "Linda's Song"). It's just the thing for rallying disheartened progressives!

On edit: Here's Nan's bio for those of you who don't hang out in Western New York.
