Greetings from the porch of my new home

It's a beautiful night and although I still don't have my internet setup I found a weak wireless network I'll 'borrow' until verizon figures out what the heck they did wrong.

Anyhow I own a porch. I have a lovely porch and I'm sitting here on my comfy $2 flea market porch chair typing on my wireless internet drinking my favorite $7 bottle of South African Sauvignon Blanc (Indaba). In the window behind me I can see Evita snoozing on the windowsill and in front of me I can watch the activities of the road & sidewalks as life goes to & fro

1. It's a nice feeling to be in your own place, isn't it?

I don't have a porch or even a balcony in my condo, but I have open windows that sort of bring the outdoors inside.

And it's great for all the tax benefits you get vs. rent.

We've been in this house for 8 years and I love sitting on my porch looking at the water, having a glass of wine, and I still pinch myself that this is real.
