Some people think freecycle is their personal Santa Claus - get this one
Edited on Sat Sep-29-07 09:57 PM by Rabrrrrrr
Woman "needs" four - that's right, FOUR - bikes for her children.

Read how the demands keep piling up for anyone who would dare to offer her anything for free that doesn't meet her specific needs and timing:

"I have 4 kids that need bikes. small girls bike with training wheels for my 5 year old. I also have 2 teen age girls that need bikes and a preteen boy that needs a bike. I live in XXXXXXX (city about 30 miles away) and would appreciate if it could be dropped off at our church in XXXXXX (city just a couple miles away), Either before church which starts at 10:00 or after church at noon. Thanks VERY VERY much."

Yes, indeedy, miss needy - send out an email on Saturday night demanding four bikes to meet your specifications to be delivered to you by Sunday morning.

Nah, you aren't asking too much. Would like those fucking gift-wrapped in gold foil, too, O Mighty Queen?

:eyes:

Fucking America. It's out of control. Not only excessively demanding, the grammar and use of language is pure shit. At least she said "thank you" - most beggers on freecycle don't even bother with that in their punctuation-less jumbles of verbal nonsense asking for the rings off our fucking fingers, oh, and gold only, please don't waste my time with cheap stuff.

Assholes.

1. Sounds like she works for the church to help the needy.
A lot of people donating items are particular also.

What city was that woman in? I have four adult bikes to get rid of! ;) For reals!

2. Works for the church? Where do you get that?
The church that she mentioned is a right-wing Jesus Crispy church, too.

She lives nowhere near MA.

5. She asked that the items be dropped off at the church.
Maybe the church posted it for her.

They do that for the Angel Tree's at Christmas.

4. I cease to be amazed at the people who ask for cars, refrigerators,

freezers, entire wardrobes, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, snowmobiles, boats, and other ridiculous items that are quite expensive.

I find amazing the number of people who go through life with an utterly ludicrous sense of entitlement.

6. One gal on my FreeCycle network
continually asked for cat food and litter for her cats. Her final request was volunteer labor to help her move. Don't know if she got the volunteers, but thankfully she did move... out of my area.
