I am freezing. Not just cold...but beginning to feel the blood in the
tips of my fingers crystallize freezing. I am tired of going outside for two seconds and coming back in to foggy lenses on my glasses. I am tired of shivering in bed for 15 minutes before I begin to feel even slightly warm. I am tired of the snow boogers that attach themselves to the wheel wells of my car to make grinding noises when I turn the wheel. I am tired of lugging tired and complaining children out to the car on school mornings only to drive for five minutes let them out and come back-get out of finally warmed up car and walk through freezing cold house...where I spend a full 20 minutes feeling chilly before the thaw sets in. I am tired tired tired....

End rant here. Can you relate??

2. Oh Mannn! I would love that about now. My brother and sister in
law are expecting baby number two so I'll be out then. But that won't be till July when it's warm here. :(

I have been checking the flights to LA for Feb. If something ends up being cheap I may take the kids on mid winter break.

Send me some warmth, would ya?

3. I am broke and almost out of heating oil
I feel like Howard Dean

and with a damaged thyroid (I used to live and swim near a nuclear plant) the extremities stay cold. (Thyroid keeps you warm)

I commiserate.

7. I can relate
I'm wearing a T-Shirt, 2 sweat-shirts, 2 pair of sweat-pants, and 2 pair of athletic socks and slippers. I can't stand being cold.

I was snowed in for 2 days with 2 feet of snow in the driveway and my car trapped in the garage. There was no way I could have driven through that.

I was going to cancel a Dr's appointment because there was just too much to shovel, but then a family came by with their kids and made a family project out of making money shoveling snow for people. I gladly paid them to bail out my driveway. It took 4 of them over an hour.

I hate winter.

I can't believe that a Cheesehead, one of God's finest and robust creations, is letting pathetic MICHIGAN weather get her cold.

You know what I think I hate most about the cold? It's that my nose runs when I'm outside; but of course, while I'm outside, I have a scarf and gloves on and my coat is buttoned up... so wiping the nose becomes a huge civil engineering feat.

Then your nose drips into the scarf and you just don't have to worry about it. Sheesh ... I thought you grew up here in Cheeseland, Rabrrrrrr, dude.

unlike the desert SW, this extended cold happens to be a result of global warming IMO.
Great Lakes gonna come in handy someday.

19. I can relate to the freezing fingers thing-
i have a condition called Raynaud's disease- it has to do with constriction of the arteries in the hands and feet in cold weather, and it really sucks.

if it wasn't for the way that winter kills the nastier insects, i'd move south(that, and all those people that speak with twangs or drawls)

22. Snow boogers!! LOL!!
That has got to be the best description of that snow-related phenomenon I've seen yet! I can relate somewhat, although it's not quite so cold here as it seems to be where you're at. But we've certainly had plenty of snow, at least as far as I'm concerned -- I can't even use my regular parking place at work, which is down in a little driveway just off the street. The snowplows have totally blocked the entrance -- and even if they hadn't, I'd be afraid to drive in for fear of not being able to get out again.

Also in total sympathy with you on the cold-car thing. The combination of drive length and car heater warm-up time generally means that my car is just warming up by the time I arrive on campus. Oh, well.
