| So, I won this essay contest :) |

I entered last summer and had forgotten about it until I got a "winner notification letter" in the mail yesterday along with a $50 Visa gift card (the prize).
The gift card was a serious blessing, because my 7 year old boy's shoes were already falling apart. I spent $30 on a new pair of shoes for him (better quality, so hopefully these won't fall apart), and the rest on a package of kids' socks, paper towels, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and shampoo. Yay!
