Not ALL our trees do that, some, called "Evergreens" for an obvious reason, don't turn color, and don't lose their leaves, or "needles" in most cases.

I live in a town called Warminster, which is near the Willow Grove exit of the PA Turnpike. There is another DUer from my neck of the woods, too.

The first school in North America was built here. Sadly, the modern generation of Warminsterians are not quite so enlightened.

We also had a Naval Air Development center that built the first centrifuge for astronaut training the the 1950s. I saw it when I was a kid -- it was pretty cool stuff. These days, the NADC has been decomissioned and taken over by several "industrial park" developers and an old folks' residential development. Wal-Mart is located right across from it. Alas!

Then (many years later) I took a trip to the U.S. and while I was there I met Sapphocrat. Flew back to Australia (Melbourne) stayed here for four four months, made another short trip back to the U.S. then flew back to Australia (Melbourne) for a month. After that I flew back to the U.S. and lived with Sappho for fifteen months before the INS broke their own laws and denied an visa extension, so they kicked me out of the country.

That was a little over two years ago now. Since that time I have stayed in Melbourne.
