Home from a Day at the Hospital - Good Vibes/Prayers appreciated!
I spent the day at Baptist Hospital with Mrs. Bake, who had her gall bladder removed due to gallstones. It was a "routine" surgery, nevertheless, Mrs. Bake was nervous and so was I. I cannot say enough good things about her surgeon, the nurses, and all the professional people at Baptist. Just fabulous, caring people! We went in at 7:30 this morning, and we're home now. Mrs. Bake is resting with the assistance of pain meds. She'll be uncomfortable (I love how they call it that) for a few days. The surgery went by the book, and everything should be fine.

I appreciate the good vibes, prayers, and kindness of my dear friends here at DU over the next few days as Mrs. Bake, the love of my life, recovers from surgery!

God bless you all!

Bake

7. Good vibes to Mrs. Bake
It will be MUCH better once the surgery pain is over than it was with the gallstones.

9. She said the gallstone attacks were worse than childbirth
And she is NOT one to complain about pain (unlike moi, the ultimate wuss/baby when it comes to pain!). This should be all better soon.

14. Sounds like they were able to scope it?
If they were able to do it with the Laprascope rather than using the larger incision, she'll be feeling better a lot sooner than you might think. Once all the gas gets out of her system she'll probably be a lot more comfortable (and so will YOU because your worry might reduce a bit!)

Hugs to you all, and be sure to not only take care of your love but also yourself--ok?

19. healing prayers and vibes for Mrs. Bake
it is a simple surgery, but still she'll have some pain in recovery (cutting through the abdominal wall is always a bit painful).

Here's hoping the healing will be speedy.
