Just diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to lymph nodes, lungs, etc. She is so young and has no insurance, so she didn't think she should see a doctor when she was having pains in her lungs.

my mother lost her best friend of 30+ years back in 1988. Margaret was my godmother. I knew her my whole life. She was a beautiful lady but just never knew how to be happy. She succumbed to breast cancer at the age of 43. It was so sad.

In fact, I hate everything that's "breast cancer pink." It dresses up an ugly disease and makes it look pretty and dainty and feminine. It's not. It's an ugly, ugly disease.

I'll do what I can to fight it, but pink ribbons will not be part of what I use.
