1. A combination of the above.
Dark jeans (no holes or frays) or corduroy jeans, nice tops (sweaters, blouses), usually a cardigan sweater or blazer over that, and nice shoes (sometimes dress shoes, sometimes casual shoes, but nice).

I don't have to dress that way. But as a supervisor and sometimes front desk person, I want to convey an attitude of professionalism, even though I work in a gym and am surrounded by trainers and such who dress in workout clothes.

I aim for a combination between business and casual, similar to the dress of the general manager and sales staff. The daycare staff I supervise are welcome to wear comfy clothes, but nothing with holes or rips or too low-cut. Obviously they need to be comfortable to work with children. If a member/client wants to talk to me about daycare issues (positive or negative), though, I want them to encounter someone with a more polished look, so I don't wear sneakers or anything like that to work. I try to balance the look, because being OVERdressed at the gym would look a little silly and pretentious.

Mostly business casual
Summer it's mainly cropped or capri pants and casual jackets; winter is the same kind of thing with long pants and sweaters. I wear suits when I have outside meetings. A skirt once in awhile.

Layers are best for me; I work on a college campus in an old building and we we can't control the heat ourselves. It goes on in late October and off in late April and that's that. I can open my windows and have both a window a/c and a space heater. I've used both on some days.

4. Business dress, but not too formal.
I'm usually in a skirt or dress slacks. The administration here banned denim :(, so that did away with Casual Fridays. That sucks, too. :(

8. business casual here
usually khaki's and polo shirts,

except when I have to go to Commissioner's meetings, then it's a suit and tie. Luckily that's only once or twice a year.

10. Pretty much anything I want since I don't deal with the public.
Mostly I wear jeans or shorts depending on the weather and something out of my enormous and ever-growing pile of advocacy shirts.

It's nice not having to dress up or wear the same damn thing over and over.

11. Jeans and t-shirts almost exclusively. Today, it's this one:
http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/engrish-store_1964_6038991

in the day-glo yellow with green characters.

My users would not recognize me in a tie.

13. Shorts and sandals
Usually with a button down shirt. I say I'm acclimatizing for the Sydney beach front office I keep lobbying for. Though in summer half the people here are barefoot.

When it cools down then I don khakis or jeans.

14. Sweats. My jammies.
I work from home!

On the days I travel to see my students, I wear khaki's and either a button down with a pair of low heels or my school polo and a pair of slip-on sneakers.

19. OMG. It's been health-care nightmare around our place.
Mr. kt was given the wrong medication and that really threw us. It's all cleared up now, but for a few days, I was really getting scared.

Then, I had surgery, which knocked me out of DU for quite a while.

And now, Mr. kt is having injections in his back for an injury. He has been lying flat now for two days.

It's been hell. And, the start of the school year always takes more of my time. Because we're non-classroom based, I have to be doubly organized for myself and also for my students. It's been crazy!

Hopefully, things will be slowing down... just in time for the holiday season! I've basically been logging in to do my Moderator job and not much else.

Good seeing you again, too! :hi:

Dress shirt, no tie, ID badge, black jeans, black belt, runners, black leather jacket

22. i chose causal, but...
I think that we're not actually supposed to wear blue jeans at the office, so I get by with Carhartts, and either t-shirts, long sleeve pullovers, or buton-down shirts (almost always untucked).

I have yet to wear a tie for this job. Probably won't. Ever.

23. Casual, unless I have to go to court, or meet with an attorney or doc.
I work from home, so overall, it doesn't matter what I wear.

29. I had to mark 'other' because jeans and sweats would be too heavy for where I work.
I work in an open-air warehouse in Florida. I wear shorts and a tank top. If I wore anything heavier, I'd DIE.

30. Khakis, collared shirt. Sometimes the shirt is tucked in, sometimes not.
Fridays we can wear jeans with a collared shirt. My bosses care a little, but since we don't have contact with the public in person, they don't care THAT much.
