I feel like crap. Cheer me up!
:hi:

I've felt like crap for two weeks now, with a head cold and then allergies (hayfever)

combined and now I'm in pain too with a headache and a stomach ache and I feel dizzy. Argh!

I can't seem to catch a break although I know, this to shall pass. :P

I need a little sympathy.... Wah!!!

1. Ok then, I'll have to go to plan B!
It must be happy hour somewhere then because this coffee just isn't doing the trick!!

Dare I? It is a tad to early in the day for , for me, anyway.

2. been there with you for the past 5 days. Getting really old too
I have cabin fever on top of the illness.

headache and stomach ache combined without nausea/vomiting? Get a strep check. You can have a strep infection without a sore throat, my daughter did, and her initial symptoms were headache and stomach ache together, followed by a very red rash (looks like you got doused with boiling water)

5. I don't feel like it's strep. I've had that but
it's the itchy eyes, throat, runny nose, sneezing and that time of the ... , you know! :P

I have been over sleeping too and I hate that and waking up so groggy.

It must be the Benadryl maybe, or the Claratin.

I haven't taken either today because I had to do grocery shopping.

I over spent anyway. :banghead: I'll be okay by tomorrow.

I hope you're feeling better soon too!!

I'm not used to being sick. I haven't had a cold in five years, until last week!!

One good thing though, my oldest son called me this morning, from on top of a telephone pole!! :P

:loveya:

18. I love my Neti Pot and worship at the God of Mucinex! I do feel
if not for these two things I might now have pneumonia, or at least bad bronchitis.

I have fibro, and the virus has really cranked it up. It has been well controlled for over a year. >sigh<,,,at least I am ill now and not two weeks from now when I leave for Kentucky to see my sister.

shall we all get better soon? I do hope so.

Benadryl will make you very very sleepy. It is the active ingredient in Sominex and Nytol, you know.

Claritin OTH will not. I use to have to take pediatric doses of benadryl, to not feel like you could pour me under the carpet

I certainly hope you recuperate, so you can go on your trip!

readily available at Walgreens, CVS, and other fine distributors of over the counter remedies

Fibromyalgia is a catch all term for a muscular pain syndrome. Google it there are a brazillion links. When it kicks in,your whole body hurts especially at certain trigger points. A cold, virus inf or flu will flare it up as will excessive stress /or fatigue.

I have done very well since I lost my weight until this current bout of whateveritis CRUD.

I think I will be OK by the 13th, when I leave. Back to work Monday definitely if not tomorrow, all depends on how I feel after I have been up an hour or so. Today I got up took a shower and ate breakfast, was up about an hour and a half and decided no way could I be remotely nice to anyone feeling the way I did. yesterday afternoon I felt so good I thought I would go to work today. I have had a long nap, and three chill sweat cycles since I got up, and no measurable fever. It is strange.

The latter makes better eating.

6. Yes I do know pain!!

I've birthed three kids!!! :P

You try pulling your lower lip over your head and tell me that isn't painful!!

And when I didn't have a car, I biked 12 miles a day with my son on the back of the bike.

Down hill in the morning and up hill at night. That was really tough for me.

Congrats on your walking accomplishments!!

12. What makes you think I don't?
If you call hair pulled back in ponytail and a shortie nightgown with rainbows
all over it and a pair of bright red shorts looking good, then OK then!!

:)

Oh yeah, and my fuzzy slippers! :P

Do you think I should wear that to the packie to get some booze? lmao!

10. I'm in the boat next to ya
hay fever and a fibra-myalgia flair-up

at night I can take something for the pain so I can sleep but then my stuffed up head keeps me awake - or I can take something for the stuffed up head so I can sleep but then the pain keeps me awake

I've sort of compromised and take the heavy duty pain la-la's which knock me out and then I don't care if my head is stuffed. unfortunately I wake up with a druggie hangover,,,

13. Oh that sucks, radfringe...
I don't have fibra-myalgia, I don't think but I've been losing a lot of sleep like you.
Waking up in the middle of the night and then i can't go back to sleep and when I finally
do, I wake up feeling like I got hit by a truck.

It's driving me nuts. Bet you could tell too!

I hope you feel better soon!

Edited on Thu Oct-04-07 03:03 PM by Breeze54
it's just I'm tired of feeling lousy but you definitely have my sympathies.
I used to get really bad ear & sinus infections as a kid and I was miserable.
It seems, later on I found out that I was allergic to cats, but my parents didn't
do anything about it. :( After I moved out, I cleared up! Go figure!!

I hope your problem goes away asap!!
