I just don't care for the man and it has nothing to do with Michigan football. I dislike him more than I did Woody Hayes. I just don't like him. He does his coach's show wearing a track suit! And he does ads! I actually talked to a guy in the airport recently who was from Ohio and is an OSU fan, and even he said, "yeah, I think we have a little deal with the devil going there".

I particularly remember when one of his players stomped on the Wisconsin quarterback's throat, putting him out of the game, and Tressell lied about it in the press conference afterwards and said, "I don't know about that". Dude! Everyone in the freakin' country saw it!

He wears a sweater vest for every game and a tie though. All coaches now in days dress casual for the coaches show, mainly to display team apperal for equipment contract reasons. All football coaches have to do ads whether they like it or not. During the Wisconsin incident he didn't have the replay that the tv audience has and didn't find out about it until after the game and the first thing he did on monday was suspend him for the next game against Iowa(co-defending Big Ten Champ at the time). You just hate him because he's successful.

I actually don't believe that Tressell didn't know about that incident. That is total nonsense. The Wisconsin player had to leave the game and a flag was thrown. How could Tresell have been unaware of that? If he suspended the player, it was because he was forced to. He deferred Troy Smith's suspension until AFTER the Michigan game, if you recall.

I used to respect Ohio State as on opponent (for football), but you have to take me seriously, I really dislike Jim Tressell and it is not just because he is successful against Michigan. He just gives me the creeps. To be fair, he is of a TYPE that gives me the creeps. There's lots of other coaches, mostly in the south, that I feel the same way about.
