You should congratulate me. I survived homecoming dress shopping
with what's her name. Not only did I emerge unscated and only having to pay for shoes, but I got some cute Thanksgiving decor.

Oh, and she's still alive. :bounce:

22. I think THAT will kill me.
She is not like me at all when it comes to shopping. She has to try on Every.Single.Dress. in every single store in case she finds one she likes better. :eyes:

This year, her boyfriend's older sister has an absolutely gorgeous dress that she is wearing, but we still had to 'make sure' that it wasn't going to be 'outdone'. :eyes:

I swear, the kid really needs a shopper mom. My cousin has a boy TM's age, and she is always talking about how much she would love to have a girl to go shopping with. For me, it's one step above going to the dentist. I can't stand it.

my wallet and sent the little darling on her way.

Oddly enough it was the same day it was announced the national debt ceiling
had been raised to $9 Trillion dollars (with a 'T') and change.

:scared:

But, by-golly, it was worth it!

No pain. No gain!

59. I got off cheap this year. And, yes, I know matcom will have quite a good time with that post,
she's wearing a dress that her boyfriend's sister wore. It's a beautiful zebra print, but she wanted to have hot pink shoes.

Do you know how hard it is to find hot pink shoes in October? :grr:

I finally suggested getting some bridal shoes dyed, but then we found these. So I figure spending $70 for the evening is pretty good.

I'm with you sister, I'd rather spend my time in Williams Sonoma too! We have a great outlet mall nearby that has a WS! Love it! Was at the mall yesterday, but didn't get a chance to hit that store or the Calphalon store. You need to come up here and we will go do some serious shopping for your new kitchen!!

LOL! When they opened the Calphalon store and I came home and told him, he wept tears of joy! He and my future brother in law are both foodies, and they were like kids in a candy store when we took them down there!

That mall has Calphalon, W&S, Kitchens Etc, pfalsgraf(sp?), corning, and a few others that I can't think of off hand. Any time you want to get away, let me know. We'd love to have you come visit!

stores upon stores, racks upon racks of dresses so big and poofy that one cannot physically walk down the aisles wihtout tripping and falling in the rivers of silk and tulle. triple digit prices, not including the nails, hair, shoes, jewels, etc. I have been here 3 times, hopefully the boy's shopping experience will be better.

44. This was her fourth homecoming.
and she's been to the prom twice with one eighth grade dance.

Sad part is, she's my eldest. I'll probably be in the nursing home when it comes time to shop with BabyMidlo. :scared:

I'm just going to give her to matcom and let him raise her.

She was so excited, it was kind of hard not to be excited with her, but it's just not my thing. I would prefer to spend my time browsing in Williams-Sonoma.

Telling ya, the kid got the wrong mom.

46. I'm just relieved that you emerged unscated.
Last time I went shopping for a prom dress with teentrof I was scated so badly I had to lie down and put a cold cloth over my eyes.
I was miserable for days.

Even now, 20 years later, when I think about it I have to go lie down in a darkened room for a bit.

Oh god.

but I don't like playing cop -- separating the "dirty dancers" and the makeout artists. Oh well... it's part of the job I guess.

Prom is better -- they always have me guard the chocolate fountain. That's very rough duty!
