A rite of passage!

I was just part of a subthread that was deleted! Two actually. It wasn't anything I said, of course, because I'm such a nice guy.
Anyway, this was my first participation in such a subthread. It's a rite of passage of sorts, like puberty, but not nearly as messy.
Anyone remember their first encounter with a thread/subthread that was deleted? Or some other rite of passage with DU?

1. yeah it was a real bitch

it was a big argument about using words like bitch and skank, especially in reference to Ann Coulter.

I was new, inexperienced and on slow dial up. Things got deleted and I kept starting new threads thinking I was doing something technically wrong and not realizing it was a "legal" issue, then the e-mails fromthe mods were taking forever to get to me and I was just slow and clueless. It was an experience, like you said.

i didn't even know it was showing up...i was still showing the old one until i dumped my cache

then i realized it was all distorted and stupid looking, so i redid it

and no, i don't remember that thread
