What are you drinking?
My husband left me for the evening, so I broke into his 14 year old blended scotch whiskey. Whew! Does alcohol get stronger the older it is? I never understood that! lol

I know, it was very passive-aggressive of me! ha-ha!

1. Alcohol gets smoother with age
And more complex.

I drank most of a bottle of champagne this afternoon. We put up our Halloween decorations and its a tradition.

I love traditions. :)

2. I just looked up the price of the scotch whiskey and it looks..
..pretty expensive! eek! Hope he doesn't get mad at me.

I love champagne... usually the inexpensive kinds! lol

Oh.. thank you for reminding me about the Halloween decorations! I need to do that!!

And, thank you for the info. When are you having your wine tasting party anyway?! :hi:

6. I would seriously like to do that
I have some room here for an outdoor party and I have a ton of wine to drink. A DU wine tasting - I'm going to have to coordinate that.

If you like champagne and don't like spending a lot, try the Gloria Ferrer. It's what I drank today. Under $15 usually and tastes like a lot more. :hi:

Sir Douglas Quintet - Mendocino

Teeny Bopper, my teenage lover
I caught your waves last night
It sent my mind to wonderin'.
You're such a groove
Please don't move
Please stay in my love house by the river.
Fast talkin' guys with strange red eyes
Have put things in your head
And started your mind to wonderin'
I love you so, please don't go
Please stay here with me in Mendocino.
Mendocino, Mendocino,
Where life's such a groove
You blow your mind in the morning.
We used to walk through the park,
Make love along the way in Mendocino.
(Ah, play it, Augie! Yeah!)
Like I told you, can you dig it?
If you wanna groove, I'll be glad to have you.
'Cause I love you so, please don't go,
Please stay here with me in Mendocino,
Mendocino, Mendocino
Where life's such a groove,
You blow your mind in the morning
We used to walk through the park,
Make love along the way in Mendocino
Mendocino, Mendocino, Mendocino

Your comment about the scotch reminds me of a story: a few years ago I shelled out for a pricey (for me) scotch. I was excitedly sipping and savoring and telling my wife how good it was. She said she'd try it so I poured her a glass - only to see her toss it back like a jello shot! I was horrified...

73. Well...tell me what brand, so I can experience the same thing you experience!
I've been a bit busy lately with my job...I think that's an understatement.

Glad that you're enjoying that scotch...while I'm stuck here with my lowly Jack Daniels :-(

This stuff tastes like year-old cat urine

76. I'm drinking sterno or "squeeze" as I like to call it.
That and a lot of aspirin help take away my stomach pains.
