I don't have anything against Christians (I myself am a lapsed Catholic married to another lapsed Catholic), however....for reasons must DUers understand I get the heebie jeebies whenever religion and Christianity are mentioned. The wacko extremeists that have co-opted faith for their own hatred have made religion a dirty word.

Ok so anyway, I am an elder abuse victim advocate and I am going to interviewed on a local radio show, that just happens to be Christian. I am a little nervous - mainly because I have a major potty mouth

The topic will be about brining awareness about elder abuse - so I am all for it - but 55 minutes with a filter on my mouth...I better pray now

It's a topic people need to understand and you'll have a sympathetic audience.

If you're really worried about filtering, take along a picture of an elderly person or a child who you love and wouldn't cuss in front of, just in case you need a reminder.

2. Wow, I totally missed the word 'awareness' there

so all I saw was 'the topic will be about bringing about elder abuse - so I am all for it. And I was like WTF?!?!
