1. I have a great Stevie Nicks story
can't tell it now, but I've hung around FM for quite awhile, since the 60's. One of my friends ended up joining the band. Mick is a client today. Here they are from 1969 pre Stevie pre Lindsay. Peter Green on vocals.

3. Oh,and another great tune
Lindsay still does this live
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUwcHyrhJ8I

Peter Green, the creative forces behind the Mac before the 70's lineup, was the first guy I'd ever seen actually fry himself irreparably from LSD. I think in some people , LSD just released or tore the thread they were hanging on by, and they went bonkers. Quote from the guy who posted the video on Your tube" :
A great loss was experienced by the rock community, loss of the talent that once was. The split in the band happened after Green claimed to have seen an angel holding a starving Biafran child in her arms and he wanted the band to work for charity to help feed the starving. This of course meant that he was mad. Mick Fleetwood flatly refused and John McVie, although he intially agreed, as Fleetwood put it "he soon came to his senses when he realized that the proposition was coming from a guy who'd just been given lots of acid." So in 1970, faced with the band's refusal to give all their money away, Peter Green wrote the 'Green Manalishi' and left. I heard he shaved off all his hair, gave everything he owned away and lived as a tramp for a while whilst he concentrated on his descent into madness.

6. I'm a huge Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks fan
I'd like to spend a day talking to her and writing songs with her. *dreamy sigh* If my son had been a girl, his name was going to be Rhiannon Leigh. :)

Sung by the ever-beautiful Stevie Nicks. *sigh*

This is one of those songs that just makes the emotions well up and overflow.

and I'm not a big music-listener, mind you. I've always been a T.V kid

12. Me too. I'm on my third copy :)
Kinda makes me mad that they left out a few of the other songs that they did at that concert--particularly "Gypsy", "Over My Head", and "Gold Dust Woman". If you haven't seen the concert video yet, I *highly* recommend it.

10. Once, I saw a BOGUS Fleetwood Mac.....
back in 76 or so, the manager owned the name and sent a totally bogus Fleetwood Mac on tour. Not one member of the band. They got to Winterland, and we all knew that it was not them. They did not make it through their third song before they got booed off the stage. Bill Graham was so pissed, said he did not know etc.

This was between the Bob Welch-Lindsay/Stevie periods.

I saw them in Stockton in 74 and a riot between some idiots and the cops broke out. During Mac's set, the ocps pulled the plug on the sound and then tear gassed the crowd.
