What are your plans for Halloween?
It's mostly just another day for me. I'm a Christmas person. I will go out for dinner because I don't feel like giving out candy, and then I will watch the Ghost Hunters live investigation if they have one again.

1. halloween falls on a Wednesday this year
When do the bars celebrate? The week-end before or the week-end after?

2. We will enjoy handing out candy to approximately 120 kids of various ages
I've never lived in a home which had so many trick-or-treaters!

3. tsk, tsk
all those kids with no candy!

:spank: :hi:

I take my son out for trick or treat, we decorate a little, and my husband hands out candy; and what's left over we either eat, or take to the office!

I love Halloween, and I often dress up a little. We enjoy our neighbor's various decors, including signs, fake fog and gravestones!

My son is probably almost done with t or t, though, since he's 11 now.

9. Hi, tigereye!
Edited on Sun Oct-07-07 01:20 PM by mvd
My parents always replaced my trick or treat candy with their own. I didn't know it. Do you do the same thing?

:hi:

you mean they took yours and gave you household leftovers?
no, my son doesn't eat all of his - he eats the ones he likes - mostly chocolate and Reese's and leaves the rest. We eat some of the ones we didn't give out....

I used to count and sort mine up in my room!

15. No, not really leftovers
But candy that we already had, I guess. I was so young I didn't notice it was our candy - lol.

26. They made sure I liked it
I guess it was a good idea even then. Hard to be overly safe when it comes to children.

with Dropkid. Going to a big ass party a 2 weeks before. I LOVE Halloween. Dropkid has asked that we have a Halloween themed xmas tree this year, and I am stoked to do it!

6. I've lived in my home 14 years and have never had a single trick-or-treater.
It may have something to do with living at the end of a dead-end road in the country. So I guess I'll do the same thing this year as previous years. Nothing.

Regards, Mugu

17. We don't get many trick or treaters either
probably because our half of the duplex is in back. My husband buys two or three packages of candy every year nonetheless -- which he ends up eating all by himself.

20. I also used to buy candy
just in case, and then eat it myself. But I don't need the calories, so I don't even do that anymore. I've decided that if I'm going to consume empty calories that I'll do it with ethanol.

Regards, Mugu

11. We decorate the bejeebus out of the yard.
The tackier, the better. My kids were enamored with neighbors who went nuts with the Christmas lights and I'm a white candle in the window person, so this was a compromise.

That is unless I can drag my ass out of bed early. I work third shift. It would b e kind of neat handing out candy. I've never done that before.

Ok, I lied. Loves me some Halloween, and this is the first year Chris will be big enough to dress up and engage in a little racketeering. :D I'm considering decorations now.
