But after spending ten days straight in this chair...another four is kinda scary to think about.

Sorry to hear it. I'm not in much better shape.
I had this job interview today where I was like mad-wack qualified for the job, but the stupid dimbulb recruiter might not recommend me, because she was reading the requirement "broad knowledge of the IT industry" as "has worked directly in IT before" and even though I was term-dropping and name-dropping like mad, everything was WHOOSH over her head. This is someone doing IT recruiting who didn't know what the ACM is, didn't know what single-sourcing is, didn't fathom when I was talking about learning programming, documenting internal databases, running Linux, and reading the Register that I'm pretty clued-in to IT... Aaaarghh!
pant pant pant pant pant Ok, I'm better now.
Why the four days off work, amigo? Are you having Weather there too?

I just checked my wallet and there are three dollars in it. umm-it is two weeks until my next SS check. that is funny right now. LOL--I think there is enough food in the freezer to last that long. :-) I know there is because I am very good at storing up on food.

5. You could read a book, or... |
|
You could practice transcendental meditation. You could hit on women (or men) in The Lounge. You could hit on women (or men) in the I/P forum (they'd never expect it). You could watch Now with Bill Moyers this evening. Or you could huff a couple of cans of cooking spray. Get the five changed into pennies and roll them or make penny towers.
Just some thoughts for you.

7. There's lots of free things to do! |
|
In Philly many of our museums have free admission some or all of the time. Most federal parks and attractions are free. You could read a book or borrow a DVD!
Jeez, I sound like my dad! Anytime one of us kids whined about being bored, he'd say: "Go read a book, or I can find you some housework to do"!
