Does every TV show have to be only about sex nowadays?
I am watchin the CBS Monday lineup right now and everyone of the shows are only about sex.

Two and A Half Men..Charlie Sheen...

How I met your Mother.... a threesome.

Rules of Engagement.... about videotaping sex.

Th nerd show was not about sex, but I am sure it will slip down the sewer pretty soon.

It just seems to me there are no other plot lines anymore. The great shows had other things going on. Seinfled, Cheers, Frasier etc ll had other themes than just having sex. But that is allthese shows are about.

2. The alternatiaves are "action" programs
CSI, NCIS, the Unit, Numbers, Shark, Lost. Yes, there are some flirting there, but not the main topic.

10. No. I hate sitcoms.
I get more laughs out of House or Gray's Anatomy than I ever have out of a sitcom.

6. I don't watch sitcoms anymore
and that's one of the reasons. I hate Two and a Half Men, because it always seems to be about something sleazy. They even have the kid saying risque stuff.

8. I can admit it: some of these shows are funny as hell.
I love Two and a Half Men. Just discovered it a couple months ago when syndication started. Even started a thread here about it. Other DUers rec'd How I Met Your Mother and Big Bang Theory (the "nerd show"). I watched all three last night. I can't recall a better line up. Maybe the old Fox Sunday with The Simpsons and Married With Children...

9. I would rather see sex, than violence
Nipples after 9pm pubes after 11. America needs to grow up in this area. its a shame that Europe has less pent-up sexual anxiety.

14. Well, there's a new show on ABC called "Dirty, Sexy Money." It's about money.
And though there does seem to be some sort of dirty and, apparently, sexy, connection to the money, the title states clearly that the emphasis is on the money.

15. Sex sex sex! If you watch TV you think we Americans must be living in one big orgy!
The truth is, however, we aren't getting any more than anyone else is. Perhaps less....
