1. There's something rather artistic about the photo of the beer glass
with the... tuba? Sousaphone? Glockenspiel?

The middle one of the birds looks like that one bird is trying to bird-nap the other bird. :D

4. It's a tuba I think
the instrument for "Humpta, humpta, humptata" :D

Yes, I liked the bird pic too. Finally I catched a flying bird in a cool pose in the MIDDLE of the picture, not already half out of it ...

5. When I was in A Cappella Choir in high school
one of the songs we did was that tuba song:

Oom-pah-pah, oom-pah-pah, that's how it goes
Oom-pah-pah, oom-pah-pah, everyone knows
They all suppose what they want to suppose
When they hear oooooom-pah-pah

Of course, us guys in the back row had to do the bouncy thing. :D

3. They were having a blast
I think they came back from a performance. THey were all sitting together, talking, drinking their beers and in between they played music. It was fun to watch and listen to. Normally I am not a big fan of that kind of music but that day it was just perfect.

7. A private one I would say.
It was not the Oktoberfest in Munich ... sorry buddy ... it was somewhere south of Munich, and the atmosphere was way less drunk than on the Oktoberfest

Beside, you would never see me going to the Oktoberfest ...

:D

18. Way cool!
Does it ever take me back in time, though ... my dad used to take pics like that. We lived in Munich and visited Bavaria at least once. That was ages ago.

24. Got me there.
I just know my dad's tourist slides are marked "Bavaria". And we must've been visiting something special or he wouldn't have taken his camera. :D We went some place where they had huge pretzels that we hung around our necks. (I was age 2-6 at the time.)

:spank:

Then bring me one. I don't know all the places we went to, but I had a green hat that we bought pins for. I have one pin left, my edelweiss. I think my mom gave all the hats to my sister. x(

Europeans really know how to live life! :-) My aunt-in-law, who lives in Germany, is always going to some gathering, festival, or party! Looks like fun. And, I love the pic of the boat tied to the dock... it sort of represents peace at the end of a day.

Thanks for sharing these! :hi:
