Where were you at 10 o'clock last night?
I was running around the back yard with a flashlight looking for one of our cats.

my partner had taken the dogs out for "last call", she sees something very large ambling across the yard, looks like a cat she thinks

headlights from a car illuminate it, Yikes, it is a cat,one of ours - they are all indoor cats - hence the panic

she come yelling into the house that Gato is outside, quick come help. I was just about asleep, flip the covers back, throw on a pair of shorts, shoes, grab a flashlight and run outside... calling the cat

then my partner comes outside - he's back in the house - how did he do that?
and were there any of the other cats outside?

I can't see any, I tell her to do a head count. All cats present and accounted for.

Back in the house, I check the side-porch which is screened in - yep - Gato the Cat-zilla has popped a screen out of it's frame... I shut and locked that particular window - will have to fix the screen this weekend.

so where were you at 10 o'clock last night?

2. house or zoo? not sure
does 3 dogs and 5 cats qualify as a zoo?

and then there are the outdoor critters - deer, wild turkey, raccoon, skunk and the occasional bear wandering through the back yard

4. This so reminds me of
the beginning of those old Fred Flintstone cartoons --
where Fred is putting the pets out and they end up locking
him out of the house. Be thankful Catzilla let you back
in the house, you may not be so lucky next time.

10. don't laugh
that has happened a couple of times where the dogs have jumped up on the door and locked it

it's one of the reasons we now have a hide-a-key hidden outside

They came yesterday so I popped one in the DVD player and had a small glass of wine.

edit: Glad you found all of your critters before lights out. :-)

15. Charley was snuggling.
He likes to get under the covers with just his nose out, then he falls asleep and snores.

Sneezer in the usual spot: foot of the bed. Out like a light.

Jack is sitting on top of me, insisting on being petted.

Vinnie is asleep in his favorite spot: with is nose up Sneezer's butt.

Brigette, being above it all, is asleep in her lair, under the bed.

Dog is in his heaven, and all is right with the world.

17. That just happened on Saturday to my hubby. He let our dog Leo out
and our indoor cat just took the opportunity to jump out right after Leo. I was in the living room and just heard a loud "F*CK." He had to chase the cat all around in our yard before finally catching him.

I only found out about it after he came back in.
