1. I was on the bus
and this girl had her finger on the button that rings the bell, waiting for the stop to pass before her stop came up. Well, it was my stop too and I beat her in ringing the bell. She about cried.

3. some things are better forgotten
they come back and haunt you in the middle of the night though.

that consuming guilt and anguish that impels you to blot out as much of your consciousness as possible.

4. Oh well now, I can't tell you that
But I will say that I kind of did the same thing you did, but it was to my little brother. He kept bothering me one Christmas eve and wouldn't shut up about Santa. So I finally said "There's no such thing...now go to sleep". I felt bad about it and after he went to sleep I climbed out to the roof above the patio and made tracks. The next morning I showed him and told him it was Santa's footprints...lol.

9. One or the other of my lies.
I used to lie really easily and frequently. To impress someone. To keep from getting caught at some thing which wasn't so much, and was made worse by the life. Really. A lot. Then I joined a 12-step program, and had to start taking responsibility and making amends. That put the kibosh on even little white fibs.

So, can't name one that was particularly bad, but I'm sure the worst thing I've ever done was to lie. A lot.

12. Voted Republican
it was for CT state treasurer or something. I wanted to prove I wasn't a straight-ticket voter, so I looked down-ballot and found an (R) who had been selectman (mayor, roughly) of a neighboring town. So, as OJ might say, "If I did it, I would have pulled the lever for her..."

14. That is what I did too
Edited on Wed Oct-10-07 10:04 PM by Mike03
I hurt my best friend, in a sense, and ruined the best thing I had in my life. But in another sense, it started a new path for me, but I miss her. It's been ten years, and a long road. But hurting her was my worst mistake.

Even after all these years, I'm not certain how to forgive myself. I have this feeling that I need to do it, but I don't know how.

21. Shoplifted
I was like 11 years old and my father wouldn't buy me this silent dog whistle at the grocery store. I wanted it so I pocketed it.

I was so guilt ridden that I confessed a few days later. My father made me return the whistle and apologize for the theft.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

I also have five moving violations in 32 years of driving.

Lock me up!
