2. Sierra Nevada!
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is the best beer on earth.

You might find a better for a particular situation but for everyday drinking you can't beat it.

Secondary brewery is Samuel Smith's. Their Oatmeal Stout and Porters are sublime.

5. Sierra is too hoppy fo rme....
Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 05:57 AM by Bennyboy
But my favorite is from North Coast Brewing. Old Rasputin, the best Imperial Stout. I love all of the NORCAL brews though. Sierra is a great beer, but the hops get to me. I lvoe their Summerfest, Porter and Stout.

6. I love hops!
My neighbor grows hops in his backyard just inside our property line.

I love looking at them, the smell of them and the taste of them.

We also raised barley on the farm as a rotation crop, so I;ve got the beer essentials covered. Harvesting barley sucks because it always made my throat itchy on the inside. Wheat and oats, not so much.

The bitterness of hops nicely balances the natural sweetness of the barley malt.

12. Old Rasputin might be the best beer I've ever had.
I'm thankful that one can get it here in Philly. From around these parts I'd recommend anything by Victory or DogFishHead.

14. Leinenkugel's!!!!
Original, or summer wheat, or the summer shandy, or creamy dark, etc. etc.

Also awesome: pretty much anything by Bar Harbor Brewing Co.
