What's the most romantic thing you've ever done?
Mine involved creamed corn, a ukelele, and my Mom's bridge club...

No, sorry, that was a reply to a different thread.

It was an anonymous dozen pink roses along with a love poem to a co-worker. She eventually found out it was me.

1. I flew 3,000 miles to spend a week and a half with somebody I'd never laid eyes on before
Since it worked out it's romantic. When such things fail we call them stupid. Sometimes getting what we want out of life means taking risks.

2. I've got a few.
One time, I scattered rose petals from the front door to the bedroom, leading them to the bed and a jewelry box containing a gold bracelet. (Jewelry = romantic. I don't know why, but I have learned that women, like magpies, are attracted to shiny objects. :P )

I proposed marriage by taking my girlfriend out to dinner at a place on the beach. While we ate, I had someone set up a table and two chairs on the beach with a tablecloth, hurricane candle, two champagne glasses and champagne on ice. After dinner, I told her to take a walk on the beach with me, and we ran into the table, I proposed, and then we drank champagne. That was a pretty good one.

Another time, I interrupted one of my girlfriend's business meetings to personally deliver flowers (good rule of thumb: If it sounds like you're going to embarrass yourself, it's probably romantic).

I have flowers delivered to her work fairly often, but that's not quite as romantic as bringing them yourself.

But I didn't found out about it until I was 39.

(We have the same birthday - 8 years apart)
