OK, I seem to be missing something here... |
|
I see a lot of remarks about The Olive Garden...I've never been there but what is it I am missing?

1. It's an 'inside' lounge joke about a post Radio_Lady made |
|
that she had gone to NYC and eaten at the Olive Garden. It exploded into a major flame war and was quite funny to see.
I'll see if I can find the link.

5. That sounds like something I would do |
|
I'm not a "foodie" and look for any port in a storm. To me eating in a fine establishment in NYC wouldn't be my first priority, but I understand it would be for some.

many years ago, someone was going to visit New York and asked for recommendations for a good Italian restaurant. Someone suggested Olive Garden. And a huge flame war ensued.

9. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN OLIVE GARDEN |
|
Olive trees like to grow on limestone cliffs. Other plants hate limestone. A "garden" with an olive tree in it is a contradiction in terms.
