Oh just great! Peru will be closed the day we arrive in Lima!
Peru's National Statistics Institute announced that all public establishments would be closed from 8 in the morning until 6 in the evening. Markets, supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, gas stations and commercial establishments will all be closed on National Census Day in Peru.

(LIP-ir) -- According to Peru's National Statistics Institute (INEI), all foreigners in Peru on October 21, National Census Day, will also take part in Peru's National Census.

Director of Peru's INEI, Renán Quispe stated that foreign tourists will be able to carry out their normal daily activities as long as they carried around their passport and a special document stating they had taken part in the census.

2. A long awaited vacation. We already got 'canceled' out of two hotels and had to change from a
private van to a plane flight due to earthquake damages.

10. That route takes you a few miles north of where I grew up!
I just remembered the sign for Peru when I used to drive across Rt-30 when it was still two lane from Mansfield over to I-75.

9. Yes, we're still going .... unless the dreaded DHS stops the plane with one of their
