A friend of mine was killed today

More of a best friend of my brother's but he was a friend of mine too. He was jogging this morning and got hit my an electricity truck. A 19 year old kid was driving too fast and hit him. His leg was ripped from his hip. Terrible! He was such a good guy. He was running for Sheriff of the county. He had 3 children.


I just don't understand these things. Why do they happen?

2. He left my brother a voice mail last night.

My brother missed his call and never listened to the voice message. Now, today, after this morning, he won't listen to it. I mean, he was alive and well last night, now today.... Gone!

There doesn't seem to be any justice in this life. All the more when we loose people close to us.

4. In a few days he may want to.

I lost a friend in a car accident this January...after the funeral my roommate (her inseperable best friend) played me a voice message she had left the day before the accident...it was only three or four words long, but hearing her voice for the first time in all those days, knowing I wouldn't hear it again...I don't know how to explain, I sobbed my eyeballs out afterwards, but I savored that message.

I'm so sorry for your loss...I'm not even gonna try to tell you how to deal with it, because there is no way to deal with it except just to go through it.

The 11th is fucked. My brother died on 8/11. Then there was 9/11. Now there is 10/11.


Yeah I have been thinking way too hard. But it all comes back to family and friends minus someone important. I will never get it.

What I do learn is that you MUST tell everyone that you do love that you love them. It is important. You never want to leave on anything but positive terms if possible. My mother learned this the hard way with my brother. Their last words weren't loving. It was my mother kicking him out of the house. She lives with guilt every day. Even though what she did was the right thing to do, their last words weren't of love.

I'm just venting and getting it out! Sorry.

I agree with you that the best way to live & love is to TELL the people who mean something to you that they do. Please know that one person out there has learned from your horrible experience. For 20 years now I've told my dad every day I talk to him that I love him.

one of the mysteries of life that we will never be able to understand nor accept.
I feel for his family and friends. Life totally sucks at times and is so brilliant at other times. Somehow it balances out, but during the bad times it is hard to remember the good times.

I write this to you on the day that I learn my husband is probably never coming home again from the hospital. One of the saddest days of my life.
