Jeezum Crow! Looks like bi-focal lenses for me.
Last night while paying bills I had a hell of a time telling 3s from 8s in quicken. Now I just tried three times to delete an extraneous period in a Word document before I realized that it was a speck of crap on my monitor.

I've worn glasses for driving for several years but now reading is becoming an issue.

Well ding-dong diddly CRAP!

1. don't fret
My first pair of glasses at age 10 was bifocals. These days they make them much more discrete with no visible difference. You'll do fine, it'll just take some getting used to.

2. it's not a speck on your monitor

3. LOL! At least it isn't vista or office 2007.
I wondered if mentioning Word by name would bring out the anti-microsoft crowd.

Now I know.

I'm still using word 2000 because vista and office 2007 appear to me to be designed by batshit crazy developers.

Cheers

4. I'm not usually anti-microsoft
but Word and Excel raised total havoc w/ a very big, very important project I was working on this week.

When I was here at 8:30 last night, I was dreaming of how to make Bill Gates's life miserable. Maybe a program that subtracts money from his numerous bank accounts, like his Excel adds numbers to my list of items.

5. I got bifocals a year ago
It sure is nice to see the small print again.

Don't fret - they're easy to adjust to.

6. No one is allowed to get bifocals until you go at least a year
pretending that you only need glasses to read fine print. On at least three occasions, you must spend half an hour looking for your glasses which are propped on top of your head.
