Grrrr..I hate DHL (more like D-HELL!)! They lie! |

So, I ordered a new computer (Dell), and apparently they use DHL for delivery.
They called me at work on Thursday to say no one was home to sign for the computer I ordered (yeah, some people work for a living) when they tried to deliver around 2 pm. Apparently, Dell requires you to sign for shipments.
I asked if they deliver on Saturdays, and they said yes. They told me they'd schedule my delivery on Saturday, and it should be at the house by 1 PM.
Lying sack of shit.
I tried tracking my package online, and DHL's website said it was in the DHL facility at 7:09 AM today. No further action had taken place. So, I called DHL's customer service (located in NY, apparently; I'm in VA), and the lady said it wasn't scheduled for delivery today...that it wasn't picked up, even though they do deliver on Saturdays. I asked if I could call the local DHL, and she said they're only open M-F, 9 AM-8 PM, plus she can't give out the number. WTF? So, she claims she's gonna have them call me (right) on Monday to try to schedule a delivery later in the day (after work).
DHL (and Dell) suck! Grrr...

Not only do they lie about delivery times, they apparently like to play soccer with packages. The boxes are always dented and sometimes the stuff inside is damaged as well.
DO NOT let DHL leave your house without opening the boxes and checking for obvious damage. I'd make those fuckers wait for a full setup, though they probably wouldn't.

3. The last Dell I bought (which, incidentally was the last Dell I'll ever buy)... |
|
...arrived via DHL with a boot-shaped hole in the box and the video, modem and parts rattling around loose in the PC case. I opened the PC up to find the video, modem and sound cards were all just thrown into the case, unconnected to anything. I inserted them into the correct slots, started the machine (which, mercifully, worked) and then discovered Dell had put the wrong CPU in the machine, giving me a much slower one than the one I ordered. They actually expected me to ship the whole PC/monitor/keyboard/mouse setup back to them before they'd rectify the foulup, instead of simply sending the correct part or dispatching one of their techs to install it.
Dell and DHL were made of each other.

4. Its the same where I work......... |

the DHL delivery guy (whom we call "Ace", because he looks like Ace Ventura)makes a habit of dropping packages out of his van and throwing things down once he gets them in the shop. Apparently the big, HUGE "fragile" stickers mean nothing to these winners.

5. I tried to return something DHL delivered (it had their stickers all over the box) |
|
and took it to the post office to mail back to the company..and the post office said they couldn't take it unless I put it in a different box that didn't have DHL all over it..maybe they did not want to take the blame if something was broken..
