1. Donizetti is good stuff.
Lucia di Lammermoor is good stuff even though it's depressing.

Donizetti was a three hit wonder -- Lucia di Lammermoor, The Elixir of Love, and Don Carlo.

However, I can do without the blue alien costume part. Does nothing for me.

I've sung in a production of The Elixir of Love (in Italian of course) and it was a blast. It's a comedy and we were all drunk peasants.
