Friday night going back and forth between out itunes libraries, she made a cd from mine that was Hendrix, zeppelin, Scorpions, xtc, The specials, Journey,The English beat, Das efx and the D-train and from her i got a whole bunch of cool stuff.

1. I run a music web site, and I've noticed someting about the demos I get

along with requests from publicists to plug their up-and-coming bands: the more I like the band, the more "old school" influences they tend to have, like this one--the frontman is only 14. It brings me great comfort to know that youngsters realize that their generation didn't generate enough good music and are doing something about it.

2. sometimes my daughter will play a song of her lit and i'll hear sampling

or a definite influence of one band or artist and i always dig out the original for her. She's big into Wolf mother right now, i also like them and to me they sound influenced by Zeppelin.
