I'm having a delayed grief reaction to my recently being dumped
I thought I was ok, I had convinced myself I'm way better off but tonight I can't seem to stop crying

1. Grief comes in waves.
Be very gentle with yourself.

2. I hope you're okay.
You won't feel the loss or anger all at once. It'll probably creep up on you periodically for a little bit. :(

I'm thinking good thoughts about you.

3. I guess you know that's normal.
Doesn't help though, does it? Crying is better than holding it in, to a point, plus it makes you sleepy. I'm sorry, Connonym.

4. stock up on chocolate--eat lots of chocolate
it alters the brain chemicals and makes you feel better

it might help until you get some distance between the "now" and when the breakup occurred

also, make sure you get enough sun

but...it is okay to feel sad. (don't overdo the hershey bars!)

7. We should have gotten together
we could have cried in our (rrot) beer together.

9. Cry away. don't hold it in. It will make you feel so much better after.
Crying is perfectly healthy. We don't cry enough as adults when we go through loss. So cut loose and you'll be feeling better .... sooner.

Sorry for your loss.

11. Be very, very good to yourself.
Baby yourself! Don't be afraid to cry, and keep in touch with other people. Also, try to engage in activities that make you proud of who you are. Do something you're good at.

Just because you were dumped doesn't mean you're a lesser person. Sometimes it means quite the opposite.
