Why are YOU up so early?
Edited on Sat Oct-20-07 07:06 AM by AspieGrrl
I'm going to this "Young Writer's Conference", and I have to be there around 9:30. I'm taking public transit so it's going to take me about an hour.

Why are you up at around 8:00 A.M. (or whatever time it is where you are) on a Saturday morning?

(edited to fix spelling error - it is early, after all.)

4. The minions of hell compel me.
In other words, the dogs decided that it's time to annoy me into waking.

They somehow always know when it's the weekend.

9. My son was up watching a loud movie at 4 AM and woke me up.
Pissed me off and I got up to tell him to go to f*&king bed! :grr:
Then I couldn't get back to sleep because loud trucks were screeching
their brakes in front of my house, so I gave up, got up and made coffee.

15. Something similar happened to me
I had a neat little table-top Zen garden: rocks, sand, lucky bamboo, miniature Buddha.

4:00 am: bam! crash! meow! The frigging cat had knocked the whole thing over. Rocks, sand, bamboo, and Buddha fragments all over the blooming place. I was so careful to make sure it was heavy enough and stable enough that she couldn't accidentally tip it. She must have deliberately pushed the thing over the edge. And of course the dog went bat-spit cursing her out in fluent Canine.

One of these days...screw PETA. It's gonna be cat fricassee for dinner.

11. Who says I went to sleep?
Actually, I'm up early to get a letter in the mail that absolutely has to be there by Monday. Post office doesn't open til 9:00, so I'm frittering my time away here in the lounge.

16. Because the kitty hordes don't get the "5 on 2 off" thing AT ALL
And they believe that my "sleeping in" until 6:30 or 7 on weekends does in no way diminish my responsibilities regarding the expeditious serving of breakfast. :P

18. My pager went off at 6:00 AM
I got up, read the message, saw it was sent to me in error, went back to bed, settled in, the pager went off again, I got up, read the message, saw it was sent to me in error, made the bed, and turned on C-Span. So much for a day off.

23. I've been up since 5:30 this morning
I've been woken up at about that time every day I mean every day for the past five years by my cranky old momma cat. She sits on the dining room table and yowls until I get up to feed her and give her hand.
I have to be quiet until my wife wakes up, she sleeps late on the weekends and typing wakes her up, she's cranky herself in the mornings so I'm quiet.
