Choosing colors to paint the inside of my house is probably going to kill me.
I mean, is Lily really that different from Classic Ivory? I don't think so. I think the only person who could discern the difference is CStT. I'm going to paint everything white.

Well, no, I'm not, but Ugh.

3. I had the hall and bedroom painted the week after Memorial Day.
They had been an egg yolk yellow, which I despised. Yellow is not a good color for me.

Now the hallway is a pale peach and the bedroom is a very relaxing medium green. I had fun choosing the colors.

:)

Good luck and have fun.

6. At this point, I am just tired of making decisions and hoping it
comes out okay. It takes me forever to decide on big things like cabinets, counters, etc., but it's been a long time coming.

4. Come on, go for color. Don't be afraid. You won't regret it. And my advice,
which you are not actually asking for, is go for the darker shade if you're going for shades of white or off-white.

Also, investigate eggshell finish. It's matte but easily scrubbed clean.

5. Well, this is what I have so far.
Kitchen: Pale yellow about the chair rail, dark blue below.

Fam: Dark Blue below, creamy white above, accent wall of maroon.

Living: Sage

Dining: White (I have black and white toile valances and a black and white rug)

Halls and stairways, light grey.

So, I know what I want, it's just a matter of getting Sherwin Williams to cooperate.

14. LOL. It's really only part of a wall, because the doors into
the living room are there.

The rug in that room is blue (what a surprise) with a maroon and white border, so I was thinking that it might pick up the maroon nicely.

Worse comes to worst, Mr. can repaint it.

18. You should see what color he painted his office.
It was blue and white (big surprise) but my FIL passed away in there, so we turned it into an office for him.

He painted it, I shit you not, this breast fed baby poop color of amber. He thinks it's warm.

I seriously can't allow him to make any decisions about the 'public' part of the house. I'd die of shame.

9. I just am not that creative. Going for a Provence theme in the
kitchen. Just had the cabinets done a beautiful creamy white with white/blue porcelain knobs. So far, so good.

Picked out the counter tops. Again, so far, so good.

The yellow in the valance is a little brighter than I wanted, so I'm going with a color two squares up.

What's the worst that could happen? Mr. has to repaint. :scared:

the colors you wear will show you what you prefer.

Earth tones, pastels, jewel-tones.

Now for Gotham residents, just paint it all black.

25. I checked out a new APT the other day and the owner was
apologizing for the colors she chose but I LOVED them!!

The half bath was red with stark white fixtures and the

kitchen wall was dark purple and it looked awesome!

My sister has her living room a distinct gold yellow,

that is very warm and inviting.

I love colors in a home!! Looks great!

I for one, want to paint the living room forest green. ;)

It'll look nice with the natural wood on the floor and around the bay windows.

29. CANYON CLOUD.
I love the names of paint colors. In different areas of the country, the names are different. So when I moved to NM, I fell in love with a paint color called CANYON CLOUD. I painted my bedroom CANYON CLOUD. I painted my office CANYON CLOUD. My bathroom? You guessed it...

There are also paints called things like Mesa and Adobe, etc.

37. We chose "Cape Hatteras" and kept it simple...
by painting all the inside rooms the same color, except we used Antique White for the trim. We used the semi-gloss versions of the above choices for the kitchen and bathrooms.

"Cape Hatteras" is a very lovely color, btw. It's kind of warm creamy buttery color. I think it's a Kelly Moore product, if I recall correctly.

Good luck and have fun! :hi:

Taupe which is fancy for darker beige. My daughters room is awesome, 3 walls are robins egg blue and then her "Drama" wall is chocolate brown and her bathroom is midnight blue with a way neato celestial shower curtain i bought years ago but never used. the rest of the house (my room) is builders off white and i think it was one coat and super cheap primer.
