Ever watch those 'how they make it' shows? Why don't they do one on sex toys?

5. I saw a German show on that once

It was a story about this factory that used to make electric toothbrushes. They were going to go out of business, but they decided instead that they could use the surplus toothbrush motors to make vibrators. So, some designers figured out how to use the motors, how to retool the plant and how to retrain the workers to make vibrators instead. Eventually the factory became a nicely profitable business. They showed the finishing staff, where mostly retired ladies came in on the afternoons to paint and airbrush the skin color and details on the vibrating realistic dongs. It was pretty funny to see this matter-of-fact, matronly, gray haired German lady talking about the factory while holding a 9" rubber penis.

I've always wondered that, too. What kind of engineer does a person need to be to be a sex toy designer? What are the marketing department meetings like? What is the quality control department like? It sure gives a different spin to the term "test harness", doesn't it?

9. The only ones worth owning ...

are silicone poured into a mold.
The molds are commercialy available.
You can make your own molds if you know how.
You can also buy kits to custom make one from your own or someone elses anatomy.

Most of them (dildos and vibes) are made in China, so think about that before you use one!
